i didn't want my actual relationships living in someone else's database. foxy is local-first, so they don't.
every crm i looked at wanted my contacts, my notes, and my conversations sitting on somebody else's servers. for people i actually know, that never sat right with me.
foxy is a native mac app that keeps everything on your machine. the database, the search, even the model that helps you recall a relationship, all local by default.
it started as a tool for myself, then i kept adding the parts a real product needs. license signing, encrypted backups you can actually restore from, real tests instead of just a working demo.
it's at v0.4.2 now, shipping new features most days. still just me, still figuring out how far a local-first tool like this can go.
